The American College of Higher Education is affiliated with Broward College, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Currently, Broward courses taught at the ACHE are easily transferred to Broward College and to other American colleges and universities. The American College also maintains an academic affiliation with Excelsior College (a member of the University of the State of New York) through which the Bachelor's degree programs are conducted in Sri Lanka and conferred by Excelsior College. Broward College (BC) was established in 1960. It is one of the 28 community colleges in the Florida public higher education system. It is the 4th largest Community College in the United State catering to over 60,000 students from all over the USA and other countries. BC offers university parallel as well as technical and occupational programs. Broward College is well-recognized for its dedication to international education programs. Broward College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate degrees. Broward courses taught at the American College of Higher Education are accredited by SACS. The American College of Higher Education itself is not accredited by the Commission on Colleges, and the accreditation of Broward extends only to the Broward courses taught at the American College of Higher Education. Approximately 5,000 students graduate from Excelsior College each year, and over 250 graduate institutions have admitted Excelsior College graduates.
